Windows 10: Microsoft Mail setup error

When I am trying to setup the Mail app on windows I get the following errors:


1. error code 0x8007139f on trying to add Gmail Account

2. error code 0x80004005 on trying to add Microsoft Account


Tried the troubleshooter from the settings and reset the app but it did not do anything.

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Error code: 0x8007042b GMAIL SETUP IN MAIL APP

Thanks for the follow up. To further troubleshoot this error code in adding your account, we suggest that you uninstall and reinstall the Mail app.

To install the Mail app in Windows 10, follow these steps:

• Type PowerShell on the search engine.
• Right-click on Windows PowerShell then choose Run as administrator.
• Click Yes if you are prompted for access.
• Type this command in the PowerShell window: Get-AppxPackage *microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps* | Remove-AppxPackage and press Enter.
• Wait for the command to complete.
• Restart your PC.

To reinstall the Mail app, proceed to these steps:

• Launch the Store app.
• Once the Store app is launched, type mail in the search box and then click Mail and Calendar to open its page.
• Select the Install button.
• Try to add your account again.

Note: Reinstalling the Mail app might remove any saved mails and credentials in the app. You might need to add your email accounts all over again. We advise you create
a manual restore point before attempting to reinstall the Mail app.Uninstalling the Mail app will also uninstall the Calendar app as both are packaged together as Windows communication apps. Likewise, when you install the Mail app, the Calendar
app will also be installed.
