    I am using Microsoft Mail and have created many folders and subfolders. Randomly when I click on a folder/subfolder to view the mail, nothing will appear and the screen will say "Nothing has arrived yet". I have a comcast/xfinity email account IMAP and don't have this problem when accessing my emails from other devices such as iPhone. I have made sure my sync settings are such that all emails should sync from any time. Any suggestions?

    Hello Adam,

    This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. microsoft mail :)

    In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

    I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    I would suggest you with few simple troubleshooting steps. Kindly follow the below.

    1. May I know how many accounts are configured in the Mail App?

    Method 1: Try to run the PowerShell command and check if it helps.



    • Open the Task manager (Press
      CTRL+Shift+ESC).
    • Click File > Run New Task.
    • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”.
    • Type PowerShell.
    • Type the following in the PowerShell prompt:
    $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml’; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest


    • Close the PowerShell window
    • Reboot the computer.

    -> Also check the junk mail to see if there are any emails.
