    having a problem downloading the 64bit Maleware Removal Tool. Note says" the page is not available at this time". Strange all these years I never had an issue downlaoding this. Anyone know what's going on?

    How funny, it would appear that Microsoft do read these forums!! I manually downloaded it as you suggested, and it is now running quite happily, and the website has since just been updated so that the page you refer to now reads "Malicious Software Removal
    Tool For: Windows 10 64-bit and more..."! Microsoft Maleware Removal Tool for 64 bit Windows 10 :)

    I have recently upgraded my Windows 7 64 bit desktop to Windows 10, and Windows Defender has picked up and quarantined a Password Stealer, PWS:HTML/Phish.GD. I am using Windows Defender to run a full scan of my computer, but I wanted to run the Windows
    Software Removal Tool as well and the Microsoft download page states "You are running Windows10 64-bit. Although Malicious Software Removal Tool will not run on your system, you can download Malicious Software Removal Tool for other operating systems." Is
    there an equivalent Microsoft tool, or is Windows Defender intended to do the same job?
