    [COLOR=rgba51, 51, 51, 1]While working on my Excel workbook I have discovered that some csv files I use in queries are not saved when I try to overwrite them. The csv files come from either 3rd party software or from my financial institution. The source doesn't really matter . The issue is that the csv file appears to be in use and cannot be overwritten. I have verified the file is not updated by checking the date/time of the file. Windows 10 does not give me any warning when the file is not saved correctly. When I go to the location of the file and try to delete it, I get an error message that it is in use by "microsoft.mashup.container.loader.exe". I have to close Excel then export the csv file overwriting the old then relaunch excel and continue my work. This is an ok workaround but sometimes I fail to catch that the file was not overwritten with the new export. Anyone have a solution? Not much coming up in an internet search. Thanks[/COLOR]

    export saved messages to csv file

    in pc suite I can export the messages that are in inbox and sent but not the ones that are stored. Can I export the files that are in the saved file in csv form?

    CSV files used to open in Excel....not now!

    Hi, you say Excel is installed. Does it run normally?

    You can't find Excel in (an unspecified) list of applications. I don't know which list that is for sure.

    For example, in the list related to:
    - rt click a file. Open With
    - this list:

    - some other list...

    If Excel does not appear in the above, I suggest you repair your office installation.

    Hi to save as a CSV (or any other file type) you need to use a program that offers to save as that file type.

    An example is a spreadsheet program.
