Windows 10: Microsoft Minesweeper

I've had this problem for over a year and thought resubscribing for Premium would take care of it but the problem persists.

Minesweeper shows I'm logged in but when I click on a game the screen starts loading then blanks out and returns me to my Windows 10 homescreen. So I have to log into Minesweeper again. Sometimes it takes up to a dozen tries before it "takes" and I can actually start a game. Sometimes It takes several days before I can actually start a game.

Is this a known issue? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game with no positive result.

What can I do now?
