Windows 10: Microsoft Mixed Reality Front Orientation Position Change

How do I change my front facing position? Currently I am facing the monitor with the cable coming out of back of the VR headset which tugs on the SAMSUNG headset and since my space is big it becomes a trip hazard tangled at my feet.


I won't my back facing the computer so the cord is behind me as I play VR game as I move around. Everything has the starting front position, game wise facing the computer.

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.
3. Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
4. Are you getting any specific error messages when setting up the Mixed Reality Controllers?
5. What is the make and model of your computer?

Upon researching, it was stated in this article that KB4284848 "Addresses a performance issue with Windows Mixed Reality on some laptops with hybrid graphics adapters, such as Surface Book 2".
If you're using a laptop that supports hybrid graphics adapters, then its advisable to install the said KB update.

Microsoft Mixed Reality portal opens automatically causing gaming programs to freeze and crash.

We understand how difficult it could be when devices do not work the way they supposed to and impacting gaming experience. However we would need some information regarding the issue.

1. May I know the make and model of the computer?
   
2. Was there any major change on your system prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
   

In the meantime, we would suggest you to try following methods and check if it resolves the issue.



Method 1: Disable Microsoft Mixed reality on start-up.

1. Right click on Task Bar and open
   Task Manager.
   
2. Click on More details and go to
   Startup tab.
   
3. Look for and right click on Windows Mixed Reality.
   
4. Choose Disable and check.
   

Method 2: Shut down Microsoft Mixed Reality Portal.



First switch off the simulator and then shut down Microsoft Mixed Reality Portal and check if the issue persists.
