Windows 10: Microsoft modern webcam zoom missing

I have the microsoft modern webcam. When I open the camera app there is no option to adjust zoom, or adjust the picture at all frankly. Is there software for this not included in windows? I just want to be able to adjust a webcam without having to install **** third party software like logitune.

My Webcam is not working with Microsoft Teams

Hi Antonio,

I have gone into settings as you said.

Microsoft Teams is listed under 'Some desktop apps might not appear in the following list or are not affected by this setting' which comes under the 'Allow desktop apps to access your camera'.

The Webcam works with the following apps: -

Windows Camera app

Skype (from Microsoft)

Zoom

I have checked that my Kaspersky software and it is allowing access by Teams to the Webcam. I uninstalled the Webcam driver and then reinstalled it.

As the Webcam works with all other apps then I believe it must be the interaction with Teams and my Webcam.

Please advise next steps please.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting your Microsoft Modern Webcam to the Microsoft Accessory Center. The problem has also been reported by a number of users within the community, and some of the possible solutions, found below:

- One user reported that they were able to connect their webcam to the accessory center by force shutting down and restarting their device, and making sure that the camera was directly attached to an active USB port (preferably USB 3.0) without any hub or extension cable.

- Another user suggested that updating the drivers for the webcam and the accessory center might help. You can do this by going to Device Manager, right-clicking on the webcam and the accessory center, and selecting Update driver.

- A third user advised that checking the privacy settings for the camera and the accessory center might resolve the issue. You can do this by going to Settings > Privacy > Camera, and making sure that both the camera and the accessory center are allowed to access your camera.

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.
