Windows 10: Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset Standby issue 2

Hi,When I'm using Microsoft Modern headset during a meeting in Teams not using the mic, after 30min or 60min when I try to use it is not possible. The mic is muted permanently. It's a standby issue. How can I fix this.I noticed that this issue is common to other users of Modern headsets since 2022. Have MS found a solution since then?Thanks,Antonio

Recently bought the Modern Wireless Headset but it will disconnect when it is not used for an amount of time. This is disappointing. Tried over the USB Dongle and also over Bluetooth. Below you can see my firmware version and i also reset to the default settings over the Microsoft Accessory Center and also with the button combination. Any suggestions? Please fix this annoying issue.

Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset sleep mode

Hi Derrick,

From Device Manager under 'Audio inputs and outputs' the Microsoft Modern Headset is listed as two devices being 'Headset Earphone (Microsoft USB Link)' and 'Headset Microphone', neither of these have a 'Power Management' tab.

Microsoft Accessory Centre reports 'Your device is up to date' under the 'Device Information' section for the Modern Wireless Headset.

The 'Microsoft USB Link' adapter is listed but it doesn't state if it is up to date or if there is new firmware available, it just shows the below under 'Device Information'.

A good idea but as you say per battery life etc I shan't try the playing silent audio workaround. Be good for MSFT to state hour many hours before headset goes to sleep, then adds an option for that value to be changed or set to never via the Microsoft Accessory Centre.

Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset not detected by Microsoft Accessory Center

I recently purchased a Microsoft Modern Wireless Headset, and it's OEM and in Spanish. I live in Bermuda, so a lot of the products we get are for Latina America and Caribbean, which means a lot come in Spanish and we have to change them.

I downloaded the Microsoft Accessory Center and opened it, and it does not detect the headset at all. I've tried the following steps:

• Unpairing and re-pairing the headset
  
• Uninstalling the MS Accessory Center and reinstalling
  
• Running all Windows updates and rebooting
  
• Turning the headset of and on again while the Accessory Center was open
  
• Connecting via the USB dongle
  
• Connecting via the USB cable
  

The Accessory Center was not able to detect the headset at all, but the headset is showing and working in Windows audio properties and Device Manager.
