Microsoft moving away from UserVoice feedback sites throughout 2021

    UserVoice Pages

Note: We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites on a product-by-product basis throughout the 2021 calendar year. We will leverage 1st party solutions for customer feedback.

Microsoft has partnered with UserVoice, a third-party service, to communicate with customers and collect feedback. We will be moving away from UserVoice feedback sites throughout the 2021 calendar year on a product-by-product basis. We will leverage 1st party solutions. Customers can continue to communicate with Microsoft and provide feedback through a number of different channels.

How can I submit feedback to Microsoft?

We have a variety of channels that allow customers to communicate with us. Including:

    - In-product experiences
    - Windows Feedback Hub
    - Microsoft Community
    - Microsoft Tech Community
    - Microsoft Store
    - Microsoft Q&A

Can I continue to submit feedback through active UserVoice sites?

Customers can continue to submit feedback through existing Microsoft UserVoice sites while they remain active.

Why is Microsoft moving away from UserVoice feedback sites?

We continuously evaluate our tools and that includes how we collect feedback. We are evaluating enhancements and standardizations to improve and streamline how we communicate with customers and collect their feedback. We will leverage 1st party solutions for customer feedback.

Microsoft values your opinion. Your feedback goes directly to our engineers and helps us shape the future of Microsoft products and services for all our users.

    Feedback

MS provided the Feedback hub as a convenient front end to the "UserVoice" site where they now want us to report bugs and to make feature requests / suggestions.

But (once again) they forgot to tell us that it is not just for Windows, which is how the advertise it. The Feedback Hub also allows you to make submissions for other applications. Not all of them, but many. (but it appears the feature is defective ...)

If you don't want to install the feedback <c*>applet you can access the uservoice sites directly. Actually, I find that interface better than using UserVoice

MS Suggestion box sites at "uservoice.com"

Go to UserVoice, either through specific links I’ve provided below or through MS Applications that have a Feedback command (ie Office 2016). That is where MS is looking specifically for this type of user feedback to bring them back to reality from what-ever
lala-land they are working in when they make these “improvements”. Comments (and votes) like these in UserVoice helped to convince MS to roll back the “phat QAT” buttons in 2016 and to at least partially undo the 2016 changes to the way the Pen input works.

Please do copy the comments you’ve made here and paste them into comments in UserVoice. Also include a link to this question. If you do make a suggestion, copy the link to the UserVoice suggestion and post it back on this question so other people with the same
problem can vote for it and comment on it. (You’ll get faster action that way.) Please get all of your friends and co-workers who use Office to vote for your issue!

This blog has a picture to show MS really is looking at UserVoice sites:

How to submit product suggestions or feedback

There are also other ways to submit feedback to Microsoft, some of which are more direct.

Fuller details can be found in:

MS Suggestion box sites at "uservoice.com"

    and its companion:

    Send Feedback to MS Developers,

however I also suggest using either the Feedback Hub or Uservoice
    as per the latter article.

For those who want a quick fix, here is some info distilled from the above articles:

    Feedback Hub (windows 10 only):

Search for and open the Feedback Hub:

    Uservoice:

but there are many more listed at the first site if none of the above match your issue.

    Trust this helps some people.
