Windows 10: microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000 v1.0 special keys stopped working suddenly

Hi guys, I still use Win10 Edu 20H2 and I still use a microsoft natural ergonomic keyboard 4000 v1.0 which has always been perfect and I love it so much and I can't find a great "replacement" for this keyboard. Since a cople of weeks its special keys F button, favorites, VOLUME BUTTONS, mute, play, back and forward has stopped working. I've done nothing and installed nothing. I need the volume buttons working.So, I formatted my pc and reinstalled everything from scratch. I've tried with Intellitype 8 and then with mouse keyboard center. Nothing changed.Reinstalled drivers, replaced drivers

Special Keys not working on Microsoft Natural Ergonomics 4000 keyboard (wired)

Hi! Not a single special key working on my Microsoft Ergonomics 4000 keyboard. Top keys from Web/Home to Calculator all keys seems to dead and no response while clicking. Even zoom key is also not working. But other regular keys are working. I'm using
Windows 7 64 bit system. Is there any solution guys?

Has the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 finally been discontinued? It's been my go-to for work and home for about 20 years. When I find it online these days, it's for a ridiculous price.

I suggest you to connect the keyboard to a different computer and check if the issue persists.

If the keyboard does not function correctly on another computer, the keyboard maybe defective. If this is the case, and the warranty on the keyboard is still valid, you may exchange the defective keyboard for a new keyboard.

If the keyboard works fine on a different computer, try the methods listed below:

Method 1

Adjust Language settings:

• Open Settings and click on Time and Language.
  
• Choose Region and Language and make sure the language you’re using on your keyboard (the input language) matches the one you’re using on your PC (the display language).
  

Method 2

Update driver manually:

Install the latest drivers from Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 and check if
it works.

If the issue persists, you may get in touch with
Microsoft Hardware Support for further assistance.
