  3. Problems installing Microsoft Visual Studio 2017-2019 Redistributable (x86)

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are trying to install Visual C++ 2017-2019 Redistributable(x86) and you get an error.

Looking at the logs, it seems that 0x80070643 error is evident, which usually links with .NetFramework.

However, I would suggest you to try few steps and see if it helps.

Method 1: Run installation in Hidden Administrator Account.

    1. Type in Windows Search CMD. Right click on CMD and select Run as Administered.
    2. Copy and paste the command in command prompt: Net user administrator /active:yes
    3. Exit from the command prompt and sign out from the current user.
    4. Login to the Administrator account and then try installing the package.

Method 2: Re-install .NetFramework and check.

    1. Press Windows + R key to launch Run command and Type
      appwiz.cpl.
    2. When the Programs and Features window comes up, click
Turn Windows Features On or Off from the left pane.
    3. Then uncheck the .NetFramework from the list and click Ok.
    4. Then check the .NetFramework from the list and click Ok.

I would suggest you to post your queries in our

    MSDN
forum, where we have developers participating, who should be able to provide some insights and ideas for this particular query.

Does windows 7 have .netframework 1.1 installed? Because I just installed Win 7 Ultimate 32bit and I'm installed Boson Netsim for school and it tried to install .netframework 1.1.
