Windows 10: Microsoft Notebook Receiver v2.0 Model 1051 issue

Hi. I found a Microsoft Notebook Receiver v2.0 Model 1051 in my old records. I know it's mine but I have no idea what's on it photos probably. Is there any way I can pull whatever is on this device off, or at least view it? I am not tech savvy so the only thing I've tried so far is seeing if I can get the device to show up under settings...it did not. I did plug it in to the back of the desktop and pushed the "connect" button...nothing. Thanks!

Cortana Notebook

In order to enable the Notebook icon in Cortana, I suggest you to check if you have enabled Cortana.

To enable Cortana, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Cortana.
• Go to Settings.
• Turn on “Cortana can give you suggestions, ideas, reminders, alerts”.

Please note your model is not listed in Lenovo. Instead 1051 is listed. The above driver link is for 1051. If yours is 1015, then do not install this driver. Look further for your own model.

 

Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 - Devices not connecting

Hi,

We are trying to use a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 so that we can cast our notebook to a screen.

We have plugged in the adapter to the TV and it is showing that it is ready to connect, but when we try to cast from the notebook it attempts to connect, even shows on the TV "username is trying to connect" but then nothing happens.

No connection is made, it returns back to the "home" screen and on the notebook it says that it failed to connect.

We have tried changing the notebooks Wi-Fi band to 2.4ghz and 5ghz, also tried reinstalling the Wi-Fi adapter but still it doesn't connect.

The strange thing is that it allows us to connect to the Wireless Display Adapter v2 with an Android device perfectly, just not the notebook which is running Windows 10 and is fully up to date.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could try?
