Windows 10: Microsoft number pad

I can't get paired my Microsoft number pad and PC Windows 10. In PC it shows Microsoft Number Pad is paired, but the pad is not working when I press it. I don't how to fix this.

My Microsoft Number Pad Isn't Working

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

This could be a problem with pairing with Windows. Here is some troubleshooting that you can try and should fix this problem.

Step 1: Remove the device from Windows

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

2-Click on Devices then click on Bluetooth & other devices

3-Check that the Microsoft Number Pad is shown on the list, click on that and select Remove device and confirm

Step 2:Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter

1-Click on Start then click on Settings

2-Click on Update & Security

3-Click on Troubleshoot then click on Additional troubleshooter

4-Search for the Bluetooth troubleshooter and click on that then click on Start

5-Then follow the instructions

Step 3: Connect your keyboard

1-Press and hold the pair button on the bottom of the number pad for 5 seconds or until the LED light starts to flash and enter pairing mode

2-On your Windows 10 PC, select Connect if a notification appears for your number pad, then wait for it to get set up

4-If you don't see the notification. Select Start, then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other devices > Bluetooth > Microsoft Number Pad > Done

As per the description, I understand that your number pad has been disabled and you would like to enable it when you start Windows 10. I will certainly help you with the issue.

• When you say "how can I enable it to be on when I start windows 10", do you mean it's not enabled while logging in to your profile?
• Have you configured your profile to be logged-in with Pin instead of password?
• Does the numpad works fine after login?

If it’s the PIN that you’re talking about, I would suggest you to try the following steps:

1) Click on Start

2) Click on Settings

3) Click on Accounts

4) Click on Sign-in option

5) Under “PIN” option, click “ADD” and enter the PIN you would like to use as a password when you start Windows 10.
