Windows 10: Microsoft Office 2016 and resetting Windows 10

My Acer Spin 5 is giving trouble (laptop shuts down at around 30% battery, tried an internal battery reset but that didn't do anything) so I'm thinking of resetting it (It hasn't been reset since it was set up, 3+ years ago)

I have Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus which was given to me at a discounted price. I'm afraid that if I reset my laptop then I will lose Office and will have to pay for another licence (this is really unsuitable)

Office 2016 programs are not grouped under Microsoft Office 2016

To address your concern, you can compress the view of your Microsoft Office programs inside a single folder in the Start Menu. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
• Right-click on a blank space, click New > Folder.
• Rename the New Folder as Microsoft Office 2016 (or any name that you want).
• Highlight all the Microsoft Office 2016 programs.
• On your keyboard, press Ctrl + X (make sure that all programs are highlighted).
• Double-click Microsoft Office 2016 folder (the folder that you've created).
• On your keyboard, press Ctrl + V.
• Wait until all the programs are moved to the new folder.
• Check the Start Menu if the settings are saved.

I don't see how this pushes anyone to upgrade. There really isn't any need to "buckle in". Users are always free to keep using Windows XP (wat), Windows 7, Windows whatever and any version of office released while in mainstream support. Office 2010, 2013, and Office 2016 work great. Windows 7 works fine. Windows 8 works fine. Windows 10 works fine. Each OS version, just like the competition, have flaws or annoyances. Always have, always will. No need to sit around and whine - if you don't like the OS you use feel free to write your own and see how it goes.

Microsoft is designing Office 2019 to work with Windows 10 instead a gimped version that is unstable or missing features in older outdated OS releases. It is really simple.
