Windows 10: Microsoft Office 2019 auto closes and does not respond.

Microsoft Office 2019 was installed a month ago. Excel 2019 auto closes and does not respond. when I copy and paste the files or text from one to another in Excel, the browser, or some other applications. It automatically closes. Please provide troubleshooting steps; we will do that.

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Problem Activating Office 2019

You can save a few steps and do this

1. Go to this page: Microsoft 365
2. Log in with your Microsoft account
3. Enter your Office product key
4. Use the link given to download Office 2019
5. install Office 2019

I used this method for both of my copies of Office 2019

So Microsoft is planning on supporting Office 2016 after ending support for Office 2019?
