Windows 10: Microsoft office programs shows blank space on the right of the screen on windows 10

I use HP laptop with Windows 10. I use external monitor LG ultra wide 3440 x 1440.

Maximizing window on any internet browsers or any program works fine but if I maximize window for Microsoft office program, it gives me blank screen on the right side and sometimes on the bottom side too. See attached screenshot.

Try to find a workaround or fix, but couldn't find anything.

My hp laptop has Quadro P1000 Nvidia graphics card

Can someone please help me out to fix this?

Office 2016 programs are not grouped under Microsoft Office 2016

Hi,

To address your concern, you can compress the view of your Microsoft Office programs inside a single folder in the Start Menu. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.
• Right-click on a blank space, click New > Folder.
• Rename the New Folder as Microsoft Office 2016 (or any name that you want).
• Highlight all the Microsoft Office 2016 programs.
• On your keyboard, press Ctrl + X (make sure that all programs are highlighted).
• Double-click Microsoft Office 2016 folder (the folder that you've created).
• On your keyboard, press Ctrl + V.
• Wait until all the programs are moved to the new folder.
• Check the Start Menu if the settings are saved.

Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

First, these programs open with a home screen full of templates to choose from and a list of your recent documents to give the customer quick help with a document or model of what you want to do in them.

Now, if this is your case and the problem refers to that, if you prefer to go directly to a new and blank document every time, I explain how to disable the home screen in Microsoft Office. Through the following steps:

1. Open the Office program for which you want to disable the home screen.

Note: Please note that this does not work with all Office programs: Microsoft Access, for some reason, does not allow you to disable the startup screen and Outlook and OneNote do not use it, so these steps apply to Word, Excel , PowerPoint, Visio and Project.

2. Click on the File tab and click on Options.

3. Uncheck the box next to "Show the home screen when this application starts."

4. Click OK.

Repeat the above steps for the other Office programs that you do not want to see, as they must be performed individually.

From now on, when you open one of these applications, a blank document will open instead of the home screen.

The templates, by the way, remain accessible in File> New.

Note: If you change your mind, you can turn on the home screen again by returning to the Options settings and checking the start options box.
