    Microsoft Office Question


    This might seem like a silly question, but I would appreciate the feedback anyway.

    I logged out of/removed my school account on my laptop because I never actually use word or any other Microsoft Office apps, and naturally, since I don’t have Microsoft Office on my actual account, it now says Word (Unlicensed Product) on the window for Word, and I’m assuming other Microsoft Office apps as well.

    I don’t mind not having access to Word since I use Google Docs anyway, but will having it not be activated in this manner affect my PC or Microsoft account in any way? Will my account get deleted if I don’t activate office? In other words, do I need Office to be activated in order to use my PC? I’m assuming the answer is no but I can’t find a clearcut answer and honestly all the stuff regarding accounts and Microsoft confuse me to no end in general.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below:

    • Type “Programs and Features” in the search box and press Enter.
    • Check if Microsoft Office application is listed in the list of installed applications.
    • If it is listed, then navigate to This PC>Local disc (CMicrosoft Office Question :)>Windows.old.
    • Check if the Office application is present there.
    • If still not found, then suggest you to install the application using the installation media.
