  1. Microsoft Office Update Fail - Help

Can anyone advise my why when I´m offered the office update I get this error message:

    • Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2553347) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x80070643

I´ve try looking into it and it seems I have SP1 Package, not 2, which I think is what I´m supposed to have, so I downloaded it to then be told "Service Pack 2 for Office 2010 (KB2687455) 32-bit Edition" "The expected version of the product was not found on the system"

Can anyone advise - none techie explanation please *Biggrin

    :)

  2. Updates KB3128020, KB3128022, KB3128024 being forced on WIndows 10, why?

    Hi,

Can someone please explain why Microsoft are pushing these updates out for Windows 10?

According to the system requirements they are not applicable to Windows 10, yet are being forced as updates.

I have never had Office 2007, only Office 365 installed last year as a replacement for the non-supported Office 2003

They all fail to install and the system keeps retrying.

    How can I stop this?

    Thanks

  3. Error 0x80070643 and Error 1336 When trying to Install Windows updates or C++ Redistributables Windows 10

Something is dreadfully wrong after I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Pro

I am unable to install the following Windows Updates:

    • Security Update for Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4.0 (KB2993928) - Error 0x80070643

    • Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB3114442) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2881030) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office Access 2007 Help (KB963663) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 Help (KB963678) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 Help (KB963662) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 Help (KB963670) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Help (KB963677) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 Help (KB963669) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office Publisher 2007 Help (KB963667) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Office Word 2007 Help (KB963665) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for Microsoft Script Editor Help (KB963671) - Error 0x80070643

    • Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System Help for Common Features (KB963673) - Error 0x80070643

I also get error 1336 if I try to install any of the C++ Redistributable packages.

I am unable to install Visual Studio 2015.

I am unsure exactly when the issue started, but I discovered it when a game I was trying to install kept failing.

After trying multiple things, I tried to "Reset" Windows 10. It fails inexplicably, with no error listed.

I am not 100% sure that this (or another error) didn't exist prior to the upgrade, so not 100% sure this is a Win 10 issue specifically.

I have stopped short of trying to revert back to Windows 7, partly because I want to exhaust every reasonable effort to stay with Win 10, and partly because, if I revert back to 7 I won't be able to go back to 10 for free.

    Thank you in advance.
