Windows 10: Microsoft Outlook Communications preventing managing of mail accounts from working

Hi All,


I've recently updated my parents computer as they were having problems with their Microsoft Mail app + their gmail account

The app would forever try to fetch email, trying to manage the "accounts" in the settings of the Mail app OR Windows Settings would result in a white blank popup.

Looking at task manager, I can see a process consuming one of the cores at 100%: Microsoft Outlook Communications.

Killing that process closes those white popups, but after closing it I am able, through Windows Settings, to manage the Mail account.

So as of now it seems the reason they are not able to view their email over the app and why their computer is constantly running out of battery is this process.

I can imagine it probably acts as a proxy between the app and any other mail servers we chose to add to the Mail App, but as of now it seems to simply hang.

I am able also to see some errors in the event viewer related to HxAccounts.exe which I am guessing is the process that handles that popup to manage the mail accounts.

My parents laptops has currently installed:
Windows 10 Pro 20H2
Installed 02/‎09/‎2020
OS: 19042.789
Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

As this is a core feature of the operating system I would expect this to have available information regarding debugging or fixing the issue, but that doesn't seem the case. How to pursue further help?

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

SO today my friend asked me if i could post this question on the forum:



He wants to configure a outlook account with 1 email, with that outlook account he wants to run the same account in 2 diferent computers he wants the both computer to be connected in network, for example:

• he receives a email and that email is sent to each computer;
• he deletes a email from one computer and it also deletes on the other;
• he moves a email to a folder it also moves on the other computer;

If you guys can help me would be nice!

Reliability of Windows Mail (not Outlook) Notifications

I suggest you try the steps listed below and check if it works;

• Open Mail app.
  
• Click on the gear for settings and select ‘Manage Accounts’.
  
• Select the email account and click on ‘Change Mailbox sync Settings’.
  
• For notifications to appear in the action center, select ‘As items arrive’ under ‘Download New Email’ section.
