Windows 10: Microsoft Paint - adding text to image not working, causes Paint to crash.

Since about 2 months ago, the adding text to an image has stopped working. It now causes Paint to crash after I click on the icon the 2nd time. The 1st time I click on the Text button nothing happens. When I click on it a 2nd time Paint crashes and closes out. I used this feature daily and now it no longer works, and I really need the feature to work. I have gone thru the Repair process with Paint a couple of times. I've uninstalled Paint and reinstalled the latest version at least 4 times and performed Restarts in between and after each time. I even tried downloading an earlier versio

Cannot edit images when saved in Fresh paint

Hi Kamila,

As per the information, I understand that when you save an image drawn in Fresh Paint, you are unable to edit the image once saved.

If the above is true, I suggest that you follow the steps below to save the image in a manner that will allow you to edit it.

• To save your painting right click on fresh paint and click on
  Save as. You will get an option to select the location.
• Select the location and save the painting.
• When you reopen fresh paint you will be on the painting you used before closing fresh paint. If you do not get the painting, you may click on image and go to the location and select the image to edit.

How do I add text into my images in the paint program

Hey Everyone,

Yes, you can add text to images using the Paint program. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Open the image you want to add text to in Paint.
   
2. Select the "Text" tool from the toolbar on the left side of the screen. It looks like a "T" icon.
   
3. Click on the image where you want the text to appear.
   
4. Type in the text you want to add.
   
5. Use the formatting options in the toolbar at the top of the screen to change the font, size, color, and style of the text.
   
6. Once you have finished formatting the text, click on the "Select" tool in the toolbar to deselect the text.
   

Alternatively, you can also use the "Type Text" option under the "Home" tab, where you can change the font, color, size, and formatting of the text before actually inserting it in the image.

Keep in mind that Paint is a basic image editing software, and if you need more advanced editing features like text wrapping, multiple layer and more advanced typography options you should look for more robust image editing software like Adobe Photoshop, VSCO, GIMP, or Inkscape.

 

Microsoft Paint Text Issue

For some reason, in Microsoft Paint ( not Paint 3D),when I start to do a text overlay in an image, a strange vertical line shows up when I start to text. The line is slightly angled and the same font as the box that the text goes in. . Was working fine
. . also a blue box appears when trying to get rid of it. Please advise. Thanks in advance!
