Windows 10: Microsoft Paint - Shrink the Giant Ribbon

I'm using Windows 11 and MS Paint 11.2208.6.0 Copyright 2022 according to "About", The "ribbon" is 160 pixels high, taking a significant amount of real-estate and limiting what I can select in one go. I've tried ^F1, and right-clicking in the toolbar. Nothing happens. Is there some way to shrink or get rid of the thing? It is useful that it's possible to select part of the image you can't see, but still more could be selected if the tool bar would go away. And I suppose you can stitch two pieces together, but making the R go away would make more sense.Below is a part of what I called "

Microsoft signals end of Paint program

Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

MINIMIZE THE RIBBON

Windows 7 itself doesn't have a "ribbon." Perhaps you're referring to Microsoft Office 2007 or later (Microsoft Paint and WordPad also use the "ribbon" interface).

You can minimize (or restore) the ribbon in Office, Paint, and WordPad by pressing CTRL+F1.

In Office apps (including Word, Excel, etc.) you also can right-click on the ribbon and select "Minimize the ribbon." In Office apps, you can restore the ribbon by clicking the "View" menu to temporarily see the ribbon, then right-clicking and de-selecting
"Minimize the ribbon."
