Windows 10: Microsoft password

Hello all,I bought a new laptop and am trying to get it set up. I am stuck at the part that wants my Microsoft password, I forgot to write it down anywhere and I have been trying to find it with no luck. I don't want to reset it, I just want to use the old one. Is this possible? I tried win+R and entered inetcpl. cpl, which did not work, I get an error msg. I am doing all this on the old laptop. What else can I do. Thanks, Jim

To which "this" are you referring?
- If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
- If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.
