Windows 10: Microsoft Phone Link not opening on PC

I set up Microsoft Phone Link but it will not open on my PC. I have a shortcut on my taskbar that has a number within a circle in the bottom right corner of the icon. When I open the app on my PC the splash screen flashes up for a few seconds and shows a "working" spinning circle then shuts down. My PC bluetooth shows that it is connected. My phone Samsung S10+ shows the icon in notifications, when I open the app on my phone it shows as connected. While everything shows connected I can do nothing with the app on my computer or on the phone. Please advise.

Here's how you can link your phone to your PC:

• On your PC, click the Windows key, then select Settings > Phone.
• Select Add a phone, enter your phone number, then click
  Send.
• On your phone, check if you received a text message from Microsoft. If you receive the text, open it, and then tap the link.
• It will open the App Store or the Google Play Store to a Microsoft app that links your phone and PC. Install the app.
• Once installed, open the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

Can't open Outlook links in Edge

In order for us to assist you better, kindly answer the questions below:

• Dose this problem occur on a particular website or all the links you try to open from Outlook?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done?

In the meantime, we suggest that you reset Microsoft Edge. Kindly refer to the steps below:

• Open Microsoft Edge.
• Click on More options […].
• Click on Settings.
• Click on ‘Choose what to clear’.
• Select all of them and click on Clear all.

Phone Link vs Samsung Flow vs Samsung Dex?

I found out about the problem when I ran games on the phone using Phone Link. Assuming that the PC is connected to the phone with Phone link On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Not available

However, on the PC if you run Bluetooth Audio Receiver and open a connection to the phone then On the phone if you look at the Bluetooth settings you will see that:

• Calls = Enabled
• Audio = Enabled
