Windows 10: Microsoft Photos 2021.21070.22007.0 will not overrule printer preferences

We have an issue with this app, if we set the print preferences some of the preferences are not working, we print to a Konica Minolta driver which has it own preferences regarding color or b/w printing it is standard set to b/w and if we want to print in color we have manual select that option. The printer setting in the app has also the possibility to zet color or b/w but it doesn't overrule the printer setting for the Minolta driver. If we use a other program like Word it will do so.It is app related but very anoing. Is there a solution?

Finding printer preferences

I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue and to provide you better assistance.

• Does the right click works on all other apps/program/files?
• What happens when you try to right lick on the pics that you are trying to copy?

To set the printing preference, kindly follow the below given steps:

• Press the Start menu, type Devices and Printers and hit enter.
  
• Right-click the printer that you want to use, and then click Printing preferences.
• Make your choices, and then click OK.

Check if issue is resolved.

Photos printer preferences missing

The software and drivers for my printer allow a number of preferences, such as scaling. If I open a document in Word, a pdf in its reader, a picture in Paint, a picture in Photoshop, a Web page in a browser, and so on, the print command calls up the window
for choice of printer, page name, and properties . If my printer is selected (rather than, say, print to PDF), the properties button calls up the full range of preferences I've mentioned.

However, if I open a picture in Windows 10 Photos (my default), I don't see that. Instead, I have only a choice of printer, number of copies, orientation (portrait/landscape), and "more settings." And "more settings" offers little more, such as duplex printing
and letter size. Can this be fixed? I hate to open Photoshop just to print, and it seems odd that the Photos app suppresses printer properties.
