Windows 10: Microsoft photos app zoom not working

When i open a picture in Photos app i can zoom using scroll wheel or clicking the zoom buttons. however when i go to the next picture zoom functionality stops working. Not through the scroll wheel Or by clicking the zoom icons right bottom. Zoom does not work at all. I tries uninstalling the app and reinstalling through store. I tried resetting it in app settings. Always same problem. Zoom not working after going to the next picture.

Hello guys,
I wish I could set the default zoom level of my default photo viewer (I can choose Photo app or Windows Photo Viewer or some third program too).
I want the default program to be able to open/switch within photos at the default photo size (100% zoom of the photo) and not with the default screen size (100% zoom of the screen size).
Any idea how to do that? Maybe some registry key to edit? Any software to suggest?

When zoom is not working, are you in Edit Mode, or just in normal View in the Photos App?

The zoom functionality does not work in Edit Mode, if you are in View Mode, please try the following:

Open the Settings App (gear icon on the Start Menu)

Go to Apps, then scroll down to find the Photos App

Select that and click Reset

Then check if zoom is working again

If not, download and install the latest version of the Photos App from the Store:

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
