Windows 10: Microsoft Photos causing 'Shell Infrastructure Host' to use 15% CPU indefinitely

Hello,I am using windows 10 and after a recent update which featured an apparent update to Microsoft Photos, every time i cycle through my pictures using Microsoft Photos as a viewer, when i close the picture, 'Shell Infrastructure Host' shoots up in CPU usage to about 15% and holds that percentage indefinitely. I found that end tasking it fixed the problem but it will return after i open a picture using Microsoft Photos and close it. I would very much appreciate a swift fix for this issue, since it is pretty critical. Thank you in advance.

Shell infrastructure host has stopped working

I have tried all the methods suggested but still it does not work. Every time I start up my laptop. The screen is just black for about 15 minutes then the dialogue box will appear and says " The shell infrastructure host has stopped working." This happen
since I upgrade my windows from 7 to 10. What will I do to make my computer open fast and to get rid of that shell infrastructure host thing?

Shell Infrastructure Host is a core Windows component. Sihost.exe runs the Shell Infrastructure Host. This is critical Windows component and should not be removed. The Windows Shell Infrastructure Host is tasked with handling several
graphical elements of the Operating System interface including taskbar transparency and Start menu.
It’s safe to allow.

I suggest you to follow this article to
Allow a blocked app in Windows Security, and check if that helps.

Shell Infrastructure Host has been using about 50% cpu usage and total cpu usage is 100%

Hello, im using a windows 10 laptop, and i restored it to a previous system restore point. Since then Shell Infrastructure Host has been using about 50% cpu usage and total cpu usage is 100%. How can i resolve this issue? Restarting has not helped.
