Windows 10: Microsoft Photos crash.

Dear community,Our hospital has recently acquired an app that records health status of all devices in the trust. The app is reporting that in the last 7 days based on 2800 devices, there have been around 1556 Microsoft photos crashes. Similar issue is happening with the SearchApp.exe racking up 5145 crashes in last 7 days.Main faulting module for Microsoft Photos is KERNELBASE.DLLFor the searchapp.exe the issue is split between 2 faulting modules.KERNELBASE.dll - 3,197 eventsWindows.UI.Xaml.dll - 1,894 eventsActions taken so far:Launch Remote PS script which reinstalls Microsoft photos which h

Microsoft Photos crashing - Windows 10

My name is Lee, I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Please try the following solution to isolate the problem:

→ Run Microsoft Store Apps Troubleshooter:

• Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Select Microsoft Store App > Click Run the Troubleshooter

• Try Photos App, if unresolved move on to the next step

→ Reset Photos App in Settings

• Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features

• Wait for the list of Apps to load, select the Microsoft Photos App

• Click "Advanced options"

• Click the Reset button

• Reboot your PC

• Try Photos App, if unresolved move on to the next step

→ Re-install the Microsoft Photos App using PowerShell Script

• Using Cortana, Type "powershell"

• Right click the "Windows PowerShell App" from the suggestion and select "Run as Administrator"

• Wait for the prompt "C:\WINDOWS\System32>" to show up, copy/paste this script and hit enter:

Get-AppxPackage *photos* | Remove-AppxPackage[\code]

• Reboot your computer and open Microsoft Store App

• Search for Microsoft Photos, download and install the App

If my suggestions did not solve the issue, please reply back so we can try another solution.

The latest Microsoft update on 8/28/2015 fixed the crashing problem.

 

Windows 10 Photos App crashing when in the edit menu

​Hello everyone!
Just recently (within the week) my Photos Application has started crashing



This happens most often when I'm in the editing menu

Sometimes it crashes on startup - Sometimes when I enter the Editing Menu - Sometimes when I attempt to edit

Things I've attempted to do to fix

• Uninstall and reinstall the app
• Contact Microsoft Support (cringe)
• sfc /scannow
• Restore Libraries to default
• Created another local account
• Clear the app cache
• Check disk health (extremely healthy)
• Add a Microsoft Account / Connect a Microsoft account
• Put photos in a different folder / drive
• The system Troubleshooter.

NOTHING HAS WORKED

Possible Causes .

• My photos are located on another disk G) - I have an SSD (128GB) for boot - A 1TB regular drive for Programs and another 1 TB drive for documents/photos/etc.

I've followed every guide possible and still nothing has worked. I need some serious help *Mad
So strange how it just started happening, Please help, any suggestions are appreciated as this is a major headache for me!
