Windows 10: Microsoft Photos is not indexing HEIC photos nor displaying them in my Collection.

Discus and support Microsoft Photos is not indexing HEIC photos nor displaying them in my Collection. in Microsoft Windows 10 Store to solve the problem; I've installed both HEIF Image Extensionsfree and HEVC Video Extensionspaid.     Microsoft Photos is not indexing HEIC photos nor displaying them in my Collection.


    I've installed both HEIF Image Extensionsfree and HEVC Video Extensionspaid.


    I've uninstalled Microsoft Photos2020.20120.4004.0 through PowerShell script, then reinstalled through Microsoft Store.


    Still no HEIC photos indexed and showing on Microsoft Photos. Only JPG, PNG and MOV files are indexed and showing. How can I get the HEIC photos to index and show up on Microsoft Photos? Appreciate anyone's time and help.

    Photo App "Collection" shows no photos in HEIC format

    Even though I can view HEIC-picture with the Windows 10 photos app (and I can view next and previous HEIC-pictures), but if I click on "Collection / all pictures" in the Photo app (button top left) it shows no HEIC-pictures (only other picture formates)

    Windows 10 Home version 1909 Build 18363.535

    Photo version 2019.19081.22010.0

    HEIF image extension version 1.0.23292.0

    Although all the above is properly installed, Photo does not visualize HEIC files.

    Hello and thank you for taking my question. I sell on ebay for a living and I just got a new laptop so I could import my photos faster from my iPhone to my PC via OneDrive and then into my ebay listings. However, my photos did not change from heic to jpeg.
    6 of about 600 changed but they weren't my actual photos that I took on my iPhone. I'm still in the learning phase. Did I miss something? Thanks much!

    PS I don't know what OneDrive cloud storage is associate with so I'm not sure which category to choose from the dropdown menu.
