    Microsoft Photos Selector Widget Removal

Good afternoon,I use photos from screen snips very often for work related purposes. After the last update on Windows 11 there is now a widget at the bottom of the screen to select from all photos in the same folder. The problem is that it covers some of the needed info on the picture. Is there a way to remove this? I have scoured the settings and preferences but have had no luck. I have attached an image of the widget I am referring to. Thanks in advance for any input.

    :)

How to get back Send Photos to PC Widget?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are unable to find the Send Photos to PC Widget. You may refer the steps mentioned below and see if you get the option to add the Widget back:

    1. On the Home screen, click on
      Launcher settings.

    2. Scroll down and click on Your Feed.
    3. Click on Glance.
    4. Click on Add Widget and add the widget.

If the issue persists, try uninstalling and re-installing the Microsoft Launcher and see if that helps.

    Regards,

Removing duplicate photos from Microsoft Photos

    Hi Tony,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Deleting photos from Microsoft Photos will delete the files from the original location. However, Microsoft Photos will only display the photos from the folders that are added to Photos application. You can remove the folders from Microsoft Photos that
you don’t want. Follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Open Microsoft Photos app.
    2. Click on the Ellipsis on the top right corner of the window and click on
      Settings.
    3. Under Sources, remove the folder that has duplicate photos by clicking on
      X.

To remove the duplicate photos from the computer, please navigate to the location where the photos are saved and then you can delete the photos are duplicate.
