Windows 10: [Microsoft Photos] Unable to launch, installation failed with error 0x80073CF6

After recently Windows update I don't remember which one, my Microsoft Photos is no longer working. I cannot launch it at all. I try to forcefully remove it and installed it but to no avail. Hence I follow this article to do the installation. It still doesn't work. The installation fails with the error message: " AppxManifest.xml140,10: error 0x80070005: Cannot register the Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2021.21090.10007.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe package because the following error was encountered while registering the windows.fileTypeAssociation extension: Access is denied. Unable to install default apps for Windows 10 ( HRESULT: 0x80073CF6)

Don't use that Powershell command anymore.
It has been known to "break" instead of "fix."

My suggestion :
Do a Repair Install.
Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Dear All,

After I upgraded my PC from Windows 7 pro to 10 Pro, I noticed photos application was not working, while calculator etc. were working. I did not checked all, in order to fix all one time I performed removal of all, then used command

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}


but it is failing for every application with error as given in subject and I am also attaching photo of error captured. Please assist till now I am unable to find fix to this. Frustrating.

I tried both methods but not successfully. Can u suggest another possible solution?
