Windows 10: Microsoft Picture It installation issue

Have been a big fan of Microsoft Picture It. I had version 9 originally then upgraded to version 10. I installed these two versions on my PC when I was running on Windows 7. I upgraded to Windows 10 64 bit, no issues, the program operated perfectly. I recently decided that I missed using Picture It 9, it just seemed easier to use. So I removed the program from my PC and attempted to reinstall Picture It version 9. I cannot get it to install. I keep getting an incompatibility error and a message that it cannot install on a 64 bit system. So I went to IIS setting and changed it to allow 32 bit installations, no luck. How do I reinstall Picture It 9 or 10?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

 

Issue with accessing pictures from Scandisk using Nikon Picture Project

This issue may occur if Nikon Picture Project software is corrupted.

I suggest you to uninstall and re-install the Nikon Picture Project software. Check if it helps.

To uninstall the software follow these steps:

• 
  Right-click on
  Start Button and click on Programs and Features.
  
• 
  Right-click on the
  Nikon Picture Project software and click on
  Uninstall.
  

Note: Make sure you have the installation media for
Nikon Picture Project software before uninstalling it.

Now reinstall Nikon Picture Project software and check if it works.
