  1. Microsoft Print to PDF do not generate multiple size pages document

Hi, I have the follow issue with Microsoft Print to PDF:

I have a document that already have two different page sizes in it, several pages in A4 format, and several pages in A3 format. I'd like to know, how can I configure it to accept these different formats and print them in their own formats like my physical printer does?

Actually what Print to PDF does, is just cutting the part of the document that doesn't fit to the A4 format.

    :)

  3. Microsoft Print to PDF - custom paper sizes possible?

    Hi,

We suggest that you try to set the paper size of the exact document first. You can create a custom page size before you proceed with
Microsoft Print to PDF, it should auto-detect the paper size of the document.

To set the paper size in Microsoft Office:

    • Click on the Page Layout/Page Design tab.
    • Click on Size, and then in the options available, click on
      More Paper Sizes...
    • Click on the drop-down arrow and scroll down to the last option which is
      Custom size
. You will be able to customize your preferred paper size.
    • Once done, click on OK, and then proceed with Microsoft Print to PDF.

Let us know how it goes.

  4. Microsoft Print to PDF do not generate multiple size pages document

I try to select a group of pages in a PDF document to print to a new PDF document using "Microsoft print to PDF" in the printer list, file size gets expanded by 8 times the original PDF file

Original title: Microsoft print to PDF printer.

Whenever I try to select a group of pages in a PDF document to print only those pages to a new PDF document using "Microsoft print to PDF" in the printer list, the file size gets expanded by 8 times the original PDF file! If my original file is only 1,191
kb, then the new file containing only half of the pages from the original document should not be in excess of 8 mb!!! Opening advanced printing options does not allow you to choose smallest size like you can when using Adobe Acrobat or other free Adobe printers
directly. There are no real options in the Microsoft Print to PDF printer option or advanced buttons other than page size like legal, letter, A3, etc. Browsing the internet pulls up multiple other users with this same issue and zero answers or fixes from Microsoft
except a mere one confused employee who's answer and questions back didn't even remotely appear to comprehend a clearly spelled out issue by the frustrated user. This issue dates back to 2015 on most of the unanswered posts.
