  1. Microsoft Print to PDF is creating MS-Dos Application Instead of PDF

Hello-I am using the "Microsoft Print to PDF" option of the printer options in the drop-down menu to print a pdf as a pdf as I've done numerous times prior, and suddenly, it is printing as a MS-Dos Application. I have deleted the incorrect copy and attempted to reprint with the same outcome. Why is this happening and how do I fix it please?

    :)

  2. Windows print to PDF is creating an MS Dos application instead of a PDF

I placed an order on a merchant website just a little while ago. When I tried to print the order confirmation page to a PDF, it instead created a file that I cannot open. The file type is "MS-Dos application."

I then tried to print the email confirmation that the merchant sent me. But, same result.

Haha, figured I'd try once again before posting and now it is printing to a PDF again. Still, I am curious if this is just a bug or if something else could be causing this.

Edit: tried again and it created "MS Dos application" instead of a PDF

  3. Best free PDF software?

    I use:
    • UnityPDF to merge/split PDFs and to insert/extract pages
    • doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing
    • Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them

Windows print to PDF is creating an MS Dos application instead of a PDF

When you are printing a page into a certain file format, usually it will let you choose of what format or file extension you want it to be. Before saving it, have you made sure that it is on".pdf" format? Having it format-less usually would create an MS-DOS
    file.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
