Windows 10: Microsoft Print to PDF is gone

Microsoft Print to PDF stopped working on my computer, so I started following advice to uninstall and reinstall the printer to see if that would get it to work.

After uninstalling Microsoft Print to PDF, I went to add it back on, but it didn't show up on the list.


I went to my Printers & scanners

Selected "Add Printer"

Selected "The printer that I want isn't listed"
Selected "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings

Selected "Use an exiting port" and went to FILE: (Print to File) in the dropdown

Then when I looked through the list of printers under either Generic or Microsoft, Miscrosoft Print to PDF was not there.

I went back and did the same thing under the PORTPROMPT: (Local Port), but again Microsoft Print to PDF did not appear on any list. I then tried selecting "Windows Update", and went to the "Windows" folder, and it's not showing up there either.


I also tried going into the Windows Features and unchecking then rechecking the Microsoft Print to PDF there. Still nothing.


Everywhere I look it tells me to follow the above directions, but either no one has had the problem I'm having now, or no one has answered the question. I've tried everything I can think of, including checking for updates and restarting the computer.


I have an ASUS GL752VW laptop running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit.


If I could get some help, that would be much appreciated.

• Can you provide us a step-by-step screenshot of how you print your documents as PDF?

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• What happens when you select small bunch of images and try to print?
• Is the issue specific to the Microsoft Print to PDF?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

• Create a new folder and copy the images you want in PDF.
• Sort the images as you want. (It always copies as per the sorted time/date)
• Set the images in Order/Sequence as you want it to be set in PDF.
• Select all and Print it to PDF.

Hello,

How can i print any page as PDF[ to save it as pdf and print later]
[PDFprinter/tinypdf in print option-i had this earlier but after new installation it's gone..]

i dont want to install additional software..any plugin or osmething for same?
