Windows 10: Microsoft Print to PDF no longer flattening files

Hello,
Using W10x64 Pro Verison 1909 Build 18363.778 with the APR 2020 update.

I don't know when this started (perhaps with the newest update??) but if I want to make changes to a pdf I make changes with Adobe READER using comments then I print using the Microsoft Print to PDF it goes through this flattening notice and the comments are no longer there but the text within is stamped onto the page.

I have been doing this for YEARS.

Today it did not work! I add the comment, I print using MS Print to PDF and when I open the file, the comment is completely gone including the text I put on it.

Fortunately, I have a different way of accomplishing this but it may go away in the future as it is evaluation software.

Suggestions? Is there a now a registry hack?

Microsoft Print to PDF creates a file that Adobe is unable to open

Yes, I can open other PDFs with Adobe.

I am using Adobe to edit and add text, and then trying to use Microsoft Print to PDF to flatten/save the changes that I've made to the PDF, but I am unable to open the new PDF file after using Microsoft Print to PDF to flatten/save the changes.

I can not open the PDFs created with Microsoft Print to PDF through Microsoft Edge either.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• What happens when you select small bunch of images and try to print?
• Is the issue specific to the Microsoft Print to PDF?

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you.

• Create a new folder and copy the images you want in PDF.
• Sort the images as you want. (It always copies as per the sorted time/date)
• Set the images in Order/Sequence as you want it to be set in PDF.
• Select all and Print it to PDF.
