    Microsoft Products and Work Arounds

I am thankful to Microsoft for what they offer to the computer computer community. However, I have always had many issues with them no matter how much stock I have bought over the years and I have been with them since the initial IPO.

ALL of MS products are meant to be pervasive throughout your home computer system. "Big Brother" Microsoft is watching every keystroke you make. Unless you are very familiar with MS systems you cannot remove a particular program. I have a PhD in IS and I could not do it.

Having said that, you can refuse to use Outlook, Edge and a few other "worthless" and pervading programs. If MS was really honest, they would make these programs optional in the packages they produce or provide a safe way to just turn them off. Be aware, MS cares NOTHING about you, the consumer. MS only cares about the information you intentionally or unintentionally provide to them. MS sells this information and actually makes more from this information than the product they sold to you. I guarantee you. I promise you. They care absolutely nothing about you!

Work Arounds? There aren't any. Sorry, that's the truth. Just don't use Edge or Outlook or whatever you don't like. There are much better programs out there to use.

Special note to political conservatives. MS, along with Facebook, Twitter and others are looking for you. Try using the free products that are out there. Keep your name off the list they are compiling.

    :)

  2. Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region

I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

    1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
    2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
    3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.
    Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
    3. Select add someone else on this PC.
    4. Enter a user name and hit next.
    5. Click on Finish.
    6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.
    Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

  3. Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

OneDrive - Another over complicated product from Microsoft?

I recreated what I think you wanted on a virtual machine, in a very straightforward way. Here are my steps.

Step 1: Launch OneDrive for the first time. Click on the option at bottom to change the default location for my OneDrive to a second hard drive on my system. (if you already have oneDrive setup, go to settings and choose Unlink account to get back to this point).

    Seems pretty easy to me.
