  1. Microsoft Remote Desktop Client - How to use "multiple but not all" monitors

Greetings all,I have a client that wishes to use their Microsoft Remote Desktop client program on only two of their three displays. I'm able to get the window to show on one or all displays, but not just two without putting it in windowed mode. Is this possible with the Microsoft Remote Desktop client program? Thank you.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Remote Desktop APP (NOT Connection!) Multiple Monitors

Just switched to Windows Server 2016 Standard implementing RDS. We want remote users to be able to use Timezone redirection and enabled it in Group Policy. It does not work with the Remote Desktop Connection so after hours of trying we tried the Microsoft
Remote Desktop APP. It works in the App so we decided to switch EXCEPT we just found that the APP does not seem to support multiple monitors.

So more Microsoft frustration. We have to decide which is more important, timezone or multiple monitors.

Has anyone been able to get multiple monitors to work with the Microsoft Remote Desktop APP?

    Remote desktop multiple monitors

    Hi AsadJamal1,

I am an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I would be happy to help you out with this.

When you open the Remote Desktop Connection client on the demo PC, under the Display tab, under Display configuration, do you have the setting enabled for "Use all my monitors for the remote session?"

Also, does the demo PC also have 3 monitors, or is it a different type of monitor set up?

I hope this has helped you. If this is not what you are looking for, please reply and let us know and we would be happy to look into providing some different suggestions!

    Regards,

Microsoft Remote Desktop APP (NOT Connection!) Multiple Monitors

Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

Just to make sure you are talking about the Microsoft remote desktop app for windows and not a mobile platform correct?

Unfortunately, I am not finding a way to do it in the Microsoft remote desktop app from the app store.

However, the built-in remote desktop app "Remote Desktop Connection" does have a way to do multiple monitors.

Here is a forum showing the answer to this as the first reply:
