Microsoft Safety Scanner Confusing scan results.

I was hijacked by a ransomware attack. Malwarebytes premium found two instances of the virus and quarantined them. I have run the Microsoft Safety Scanner multiple times. The first time it found 4 infected files and removed one of them. I have run the scanner 4 more times and get the same result. As it scans, it finds 3 infected files, but when it concludes it says no infections were found and the drive is safe. What's going on?Thankyou for your help.

    :)

  2. Microsoft Safety Scanner

When running Microsoft Safety Scanner (version 1.361.163.0) the scanner indicates it is finding infected files during the scanning process but when it completes scanning the scan results are "The scanner completed successfully and no viruses, spyware, and other potentially unwanted software was detected."

Why does the Scan Results differ from what is being reported during the scanning process?
