Windows 10: Microsoft safety scanner ended with "Offline scan completed with 0x80501002"

Hi there, I was wondering if "Offline scan completed with 0x80501002" is good? Because it usually ends with "Offline scan completed with 0x00000000"Thanks in advance.

Microsoft safety Scanner detects 13 infected files during scan, and the scan result at the end shows scan completed successfully without detections

Microsoft safety Scanner detects 13 infected files during scan, and when I get the scan result at the end it says "The scan completed successfully and no viruses, and other potentially unwanted software were detected".

Why does this happen? I have tried booting in to safe mode where it gets the same detections, and the same end result. Almost as the malware have found a way to cheat the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

When running Microsoft Safety Scanner (version 1.361.163.0) the scanner indicates it is finding infected files during the scanning process but when it completes scanning the scan results are "The scanner completed successfully and no viruses, spyware, and other potentially unwanted software was detected."

Why does the Scan Results differ from what is being reported during the scanning process?

60 hours is a very long time, indicating that the Microsoft Safety Scanner is stuck. In this case, I suggest that you terminate the scan.

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

2. Under the Processes tab, look for SafetyScanner.exe.

3. Right-click on it and select End task.

After terminating, run the scan again or consider an alternative scan, such as Windows Security.
