Windows 10: Microsoft safety scanner never ends

I made the mistake of opening an attachment that when I looked closely had ****.ru domain, so I suspect I am infected, but I've run three other scanners Trendmicro, Eset, Malwarebytes which detected nothing. Microsoft safety scanner has been running for 60 hours. I have ~700,000 files and it now has scanned over 60,000,000 files. It got to 75% on the progress bar and doesn't look to be making progress at all. It is not frozen on a specific file, but just never completing. Recommendations?

Microsoft safety scanner finds no virus?

Microsoft Scanner works in steps.

So at first stage it will detect what may be an infected file and it will add that to a list. This is the number you see when you see the scanner progressing. These are not actual infections, just suspicious files.

Once the scan is done the safety scanner will match the suspected files with the most recent database of threats and then tell you the actual infections on your system. If the last number is 0 it means no actual infection was found.

which of course is this Zeus b2957e since it is still there. I am a novice compared to most/all of you so I am up for any help/suggestions.
