Windows 10: Microsoft Safety Scanner stuck scanning a single file

I've been scanning for malware I have alot and its frozen scanning a single file. I'm too lazy to restart the scan since I've been scanning for an hour 44 minutes. Is there any way I can fix other than a factory reset or is my computer killed?I don't know how I managed to get over 200 infected files btw don't ask me. this was around 3:30 AM CSTUPDATE: 3:41 AM CST: it ended for no reason at all and says theres nothing but theres clearly something, i dont know if its an rat and the person stopped itim going to factory reset after i get some information that i need

Microsoft safety scanner finds no virus?

Microsoft Scanner works in steps.

So at first stage it will detect what may be an infected file and it will add that to a list. This is the number you see when you see the scanner progressing. These are not actual infections, just suspicious files.

Once the scan is done the safety scanner will match the suspected files with the most recent database of threats and then tell you the actual infections on your system. If the last number is 0 it means no actual infection was found.
