Windows 10: Microsoft scamming

OKAY, so I ask a question on Microsoft answers and a reply I get is a scammer wanting me to call a number. So lucky for me I checked before I called or ELSE. However the bottom line is unfortunately I cannot trust the replies I get supposedly from Microsoft 'helpers'. I am now not wanting to even click on a link sent to me by supposedly Microsoft as it could very well be a scam as well. It looks like I will have to find help somewhere else as the Microsoft answers site is NOT secure.

Scams using Microsoft

Microsoft has been warning folks about these scams for some time.

• Avoid scams that use the Microsoft name fraudulently
• Is that call from Microsoft a scam?
• Don’t fall for phony phone tech support
• Avoiding technical support scams

 

Scam or legit call?

That's a scam call....

Microsoft will never call you out of the blue.

Best to just hang up on those scammers.

No, that's not a Microsoft phone number.

All these kind of pop-ups/alerts are fake warnings - scams. Never ever call these numbers.
