Windows 10: Microsoft Scan APP: stopped working. Now give an error message, after doing the scan.

Windows 10, HP 8710 AIO. Had it working fine before. Now, when I put a multi-page document and want to scan front-back to PDF file like before it scans, but right after the last page, it gives an error instead of the file.

Scan and Fax not working in Windows 10

This issue might occur if printer driver is corrupt.

To assist you better, please provide us the information below:

• What is the make and model of the computer?
• Are you getting any error message?
• When you say that "scan and fax not working", how exactly are you trying to scan and fax on Windows 10?

If you have tried to use Windows Scan and Fax app, then try to access it and check if you are able to scan documents.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. The type "Windows Fax and Scan" without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

3. Try to scan the copies of documents.

Scan app does not work. No selections available to start scan.

When doing a Windows Defender Full scan, it stops almost at the end of it, without finishing up the scan. Why is that?

Error code 0x800106ba I had to manually turn Defender on after a cold start. Everything looked fine then while running a quick scan Defender stops without finishing the scan. The error message suggested that I restart Defender or restart the PC. This seems
similar to NidiaFabal's .
