The comfort mouse has stopped working and now needs a pin. I cannot add a Pin. I cannot get the mouse to work I have done everything that is suggested. The mouse is only two months old. Any suggestions? Not happy

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - stops working

Recently after an update to Windows 10, my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse stops working.

After looking at some posts. The following steps seem to work.

In Device Manager, under Bluetooth uninstall devices, then under actions Scan for hardware changes.

This seems to work and the mouse works again however, these steps are repeated over the course of the day as the mouse stops working randomly.

I also notice that under other devices I have a number of devices that seem to be unknown





I also have a Microsoft phone 950xl and 640 however these drivers are for other nokia phones which we do not have.

Can someone suggest a permanent fix to (a) the Bluetooth mouse not needing to be reset the way I have been doing this (as listed above) and (b) a fix for these other devices.

The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron 15 - 7000 Series

Let’s try simple troubleshooting steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue. Follow the below methods.

Method 1.

For the issue with network connection. I would suggest you to run Network troubleshooter, it will automatically troubleshoot the network problem and check. If it helps.

  Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left navigation pane.
  
• 
  Click on Network troubleshooter.
  
• 
  Click on Advanced on the Network troubleshooter dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).
  
• 
  Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the Network troubleshooter.
  

Method 2.

For the issue with mouse, I suggest you to go to the below link, select Windows operating system, try downloading the mouse driver and install the same.

This issue might occur if the Mouse and Keyboard Centre application is not installed in your system.

I suggest you to download and install the Mouse and Keyboard Centre application from the manufacturer's website and check if it helps.
