Windows 10: Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop randomly disconnecting from my Surface Book 2 running on...

As stated in the title, my Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop keep randomly disconnecting. There is no pattern to it and sometimes it happens after a few seconds, sometimes after a few minutes.- The devices have new batteries and remain on after they disconnect I can see the blue laser light of the mouse.- I connected the USB-receiver into another desktop and had no issues. They remained connected.My Windows 10, version 22H2 is up to date as per the Windows update window, so the drivers should be up to date.I even tried uninstalling the drivers and then reconnecting the USB-receiver after re

I suggest you to get in touch with the Microsoft Hardware
Support to know about the replacement criteria. Meanwhile, you may also go through the
Warranty Limit Manual given under Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop.

We understand the concern as you are facing difficulties in connecting the
Sculpt ergonomic desktop set on the new PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 currently installed? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?

Meanwhile we would suggest you to update driver
and check.

1. Connect the Sculpt ergonomic desktop set
   
2. Press Windows + X key
   and select Device Manager from the context menu.
   
3. Spot and expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers”.
   
4. Right click on the USB Composite Device driver and select
   “Update driver”
   
5. Select Search automatically for drivers. Follow the onscreen steps
   
6. Restart the PC and check.
   

We would also suggest you to refer the methods as mentioned in these articles:

I would suggest that you download the Mouse and Keyboard Center 11. You can use it to connect and configure the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop with your PC.
