Windows 10: Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard does not work on Windows 10 version 1909

Hi,


I just purchased a Sculpt keyboard, but have found that it does not work very well on Windows 10 version 1909. I am not certain if it worked on previous versions of windows as I have not tried this keyboard on other Windows 10 versions, but I see there have been other complaints about this keyboard/mouse software from the last 5 years or so.


Basically, it only works intermittently, and will skip keystrokes if I type too fast "too fast is about 1 key per second. Sometimes it is even worse and doesn't register any keystrokes. I have replaced the batteries, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, used different USB ports, and have the latest Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse center.


Embarrassingly enough, the keyboard works completely fine plugging it in and doing a 10 second setup on my MacBook Pro, and I can type as fast as I want with no issues, so it appears this is not a hardware issue.


Does anyone have any good solutions? I've read many old solutions, but they all seem to end with nothing working.

I suggest you to get in touch with the Microsoft Hardware
Support to know about the replacement criteria. Meanwhile, you may also go through the
Warranty Limit Manual given under Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop.

Bluetooth Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard

Is anyone aware if Microsoft is considering releasing bluetooth version of the Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard (or Desktop)?

In my opinion, it would be a great step forward for this great product.

1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC?
   
2. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
   
3. Does the issue occurs while using a specific application or all the applications?
   
4. Is the trans-receiver for the keyboard connected properly to the PC?
   

Meanwhile, you can try re-installing the drivers and Microsoft Mouse and keyboard center for the keyboard and check if that helps. You can download the drivers from the

Microsoft website.
