Windows 10: Microsoft sculpt key functions changed

I have a microsoft sculpt keyboard and the upper row of keys are operating as hotkeys i.e,, when I press "w" it turns caps lock on, when I press "o" I get "-o" and I can't figure out how to turn this back off. How do I turn this off and get the keys to operate normally. I have removed the batteries, unplugged the USB, and restarted the computer several times each. I cannot find the power button on this model was purchased in 2021.

Sculpt keyboard function keys

Just got a sculpt keyboard and trying to get use to it, the first thing I wanted to do was mute the sound (blue function on F10) and I couldn't figure out what combination of keys got to that function. Couldn't find anything on the web that addressed this.

Is there another way (hot key or something) to access the blue functions of the function keys?

While the hard switch in the upper corner works it really isn't very practical.

• Single Click on the file.
• Tap F2 ( Function Key).
• Then type the name and enter.

Microsoft Sculpt Fn switch not functioning: F1-F12 keys always perform the blue functions

Hi All,

I just received my Microsoft Sculpt keyboard recently and am having trouble using the F1-F12 keys. The Fn switch at the top right does not seem to do anything, as the F1-F12 keys always perform the blue functions when pressed, no matter which way the switch is moved. I am on windows 10 (64 bit) and have performed the latest windows update and have the mouse and keyboard software installed. The keys did not function before I had the Microsoft mouse and keyboard software either. These are the only keys on the keyboard that are not functioning correctly. I have also changed the USB port that the keyboard is plugged in to.

If anyone has had this problem before, I would appreciate some advice. Otherwise, I will return this one and chalk it up to a faulty unit.
