Microsoft Sculpt Mouse Fails to Function Properly with Windows 10

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 15 -- and can't get the MS Sculpt mouse to work seamlessly with it. Ironically, it works fine on my MacBook.

Essentially, the left click of the mouse doesn't entirely work when I first plug in the USB wireless transceiver. I can't switch windows with the left click button, nor can I hit the start button. It only works in the context of the selected window. To get it to work, I need to hit ctrl-alt-delete. This seems to do something magical, and from then on, the mouse works perfectly.

The operating system on my computer is Windows 10 Pro, the mouse works fine on my MacBook, and I'm a bit perplexed why two Microsoft product can't play nice with each other. Unfortunately support failed to address this issue, only going as far reinstalling the drivers, and then recommending I reinstall the OS. I found that perplexing, and thought the whole restart windows to fix problems was a 1990's thing.

    :)

  4. Microsoft Sculpt Mouse Fails to Function Properly with Windows 10

Microsoft Sculpt Bluetooth mouse laggy, Windows 10

I have a fresh HP 250 G4 laptop which I just bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Sculpt mouse. I went Bluetooth as I wanted to maximize my available USB ports (Logitech USB Unify mouse works perfect)

So far I have spent many, many, many hours trying to get this mouse to function properly. It works fine one minute, lags really bad the next. Latest drivers, latest Windows update. Tried EVERY suggestion (turn Cortana off, turn off all power saving settings,
update WiFi drivers, disable WiFi, disable audio, update audio and display.... list goes on.)

The only thing that I have yet to try is disable the power saving function on 'Human Interface Devices ---> Microsoft Hardware Bluetooth Device'. When I do this, I get a Bluescreen (Surprise surprise)

This mouse, simply put, is a joke. How is it that a MICROSOFT mouse FAILS to work a fresh, brand new HP laptop with a fresh MICROSOFT Windows 10 install?

Judging by the many other posts on here, I doubt Microsoft will answer. I'm giving it until this time tomorrow before I return the mouse as faulty and never, EVER buy another Microsoft product.
