Windows 10: Microsoft sculpt mouse preventing monitor sleep

I have gotten myself a microsoft sculpt mouse, I had had one in the past and it was a delightful product, and after many an ergonomic mouse that wore out way too soon I've returned to a better product. Now, the issue I am seeing with it is that this mouse prevents my monitors from going to sleep. Not the computer, the monitors. They turn off and are turned on almost immediately. This stops being the case if I pull out the bluetooth receiver or turn off the mouse. Which is highly inconvenient, cos i need to rememebr nightly to do this, frequently forget and need to go back to turn it off. The

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated drivers, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to uninstall the mouse drivers.

• Right click on Windows key,
  select Device Manager.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right click on each of the drivers and click on
  Uninstall.

Step 2: Manually install the mouse drivers from the link below.

Thank you for the suggestions. I have already tried all of these steps.

My system works fine with another mouse. But I'm still unable to use the Sculpt mouse since updating M & K Center

 

Sculpt ergo mouse preventing Windows 10 from going to sleep

I use a Sculpt ergonomic mouse and keyboard both at work and at home.

Recently I realized that my work computer - Windows 10 - was not going to sleep; this is critical for me because my system is part of a render farm that only activates when it goes to sleep.

I have verified that the mouse is the cause by setting the interval to one minute, then turning the mouse off; when the mouse is off, the system goes to sleep right on time. If the mouse is on, it will never go to sleep.

I have reinstalled the drivers. I have reinstalled the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center. Nothing seems to help with this situation.

Any advice?
