    Microsoft Sculpt Surface Edition Wireless Dongle Issue


    As I understand from everything I have read online about wireless USB Dongles, the keyboard and mouse are set specifically to the frequency on each of the USB dongles and will not work with another dongle. It's hardcoded specifically to the mouse and keyboard you receive in the set. I have an old wireless Dongle, mouse and keyboard that I have been using on my personal laptop. I got a new separate wireless Dongle, mouse and keyboard that I use for my company provided work laptop, Windows 10. On recent business travel, I brought my old wireless mouse/dongle that I use for my personal lapt

    Hello,

    I recently purchased a Microsoft Sculpt + mouse + number pad. Step 5 (in the instructions on the inside of the box lid) shows a little gizmo that plugs into the PC. (I assume it's a USB dongle for wireless connection to the PC.)

    My box doesn't have this, is it supposed to be included?

    I bought a Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard 6 months ago. Today I accidentally forgot to remove the rather large dongle from my laptop before putting it into my bag and the dongle got crushed. Is there any way to continue to use the keyboard/mouse without the
    dongle? Can I get a replacement dongle?
